when the judge asked me why cridtors would accept 5% i woulda said
I woulda said: I dunno yer honor, do they know Kodak has a BILLION in the bank?
Maybe your honor could better explain why someone owed 3 billion would take 150 million when there is 1 Billion in the bank?

your are right. take away the chap 11 - we don't have dip take away chap 11 - we don't have patent sale take away chap 11 and we still could have gotten out of manufacturing the cameras and laid as many people off as we wanted take away the chap 11 and you can continue pension payments and renegotiate healthcare instead of giving up 2 profitable divisions and you would then have your billion in fee's to add to your cash you still own all your patents and the gallery and the 2 profitable divisions and the entire company the bleeding you describe is made by the pen and decision. Just when I thought that Perez was the dumbest person on earth to be running Kodak into the ground. Sounds like you would have done a even more spectacular job. No wonder you are the resident mental midget here. Perez got this company into chapter 11. Kodak would be in chapter 7 if it followed your plan. KKR much? Where is the buyout Kevin? Stop smoking that shit. It's killing your brain cells. Attic your such a tool. Paging doctor faggot.

Riddle me this: Somebody is buying. Who is it? Bondholders are covering their short stock "hedge". It frees up EQUITY in their account. Pretty simple.

you don't cover a stock going to zero try again You don't sound like a very sophisticated investor or market participant. There is an economic cost to being short. You have to pay an interest rate to the stock-loan department of the brokerage firm that you borrowed the shares from. And in case you haven't noticed, rates have been going up the last several weeks. Moreover, by covering the short in Kodak shares in a Type-2 margin account, you free up equity. At some point, your financing charges outweigh the stock dropping from a nickel to zero. Duh.

Kevin is just giving his theory. Why go into attack mode guys? That alone makes people wonder if you have ulterior motives. Just sayin.

I'm sure that it wasn't ALL short interest that was being covered. I wouldn't be surprised if there were some market-makers scalping the shares from the short side as well and day-trading given that their commission cost is next to zero.

I simply pointed out a most LOGICAL answer to the question that Kevin Blandford had posed. Some things never change with you . . . Your "ulterior" motive paranoia hasn't gotten you anywhere. Good Luck to You.

The writing is on the wall..does it really matter if Kevin is right or wrong? It is an interesting theory right or wrong.

Interesting theory right or WRONG? You must really enjoy wasting your time. Give me a break. Stop embellishing and being so freaking DRAMATIC all the time. Kevin's "theory" is meaningless because it is completely erroneous. It's like adding "2+2" and not getting 4. Even SBG just posted the same. Or are you going to now post a question asking SBG why he "cares so much" too??? Your continued paranoia is absurd. By the way, I just noticed that this was my 100th post. I'm done here trying to help "educate" people . . . some of whom had starred in the movie "Dumb & Dumber". Perhaps people will realize that there are far EASIER ways to make money in the financial markets than to get involved in a publicly traded Company involved in a BK. Special thanks to SBG for all of his time and effort that went towards maintaining this board. It's sad to see such a hallmark of Americana like Kodak (that I grew up with in the 60's and 70's) go down the tubes, but this is still a great Country! Good Luck to All.
