As I looked thru the vote published by the debt holder I saw the names of several long retired officers of Kodak. I am guessing it was just some deferred compensation issue or such but it made me think back to the time when Kodak was a vibrant company with a bright future. Bottom line Kodak never got it's head around the end of film and because of that the company is gone. The current management failed to make the transition because they did not know what they were transitioning. Just as Neutron Jack built the legend of GE on the back of the credit bubble which GE Capital did more than it share to inflate, the current management built Kodak on the film bubble. Who knows maybe we will see AP on CNBC is a year or two as a commentator or may he will follow other failed CEO's and go into politics.
The "new Kodak" has nothing in common with Eastman Kodak except the name. EK is gone, dead, a thing of the past. I know the Supreme Court said companies are people when it came to political contributions. Does that also mean they have a soul? In that case may God rest it 's soul.

There was a lot a potential with this play. You think CEOs would want to do right by all stakeholders but why share the pie when greed twinkles in your eye. I honestly think AP could of organized sufficient financing to pay back all creditors, but personal relationships kept him from doing the right thing. The stigma that most chapter 11 cases end like this is on his side for getting away fraud. One day well get justice
