We have all been waiting on today for an announcement because they legally have to announce auction results if there is an auction for the court to approve. We did not hear anything today by 5, and I think that is because Kodak has no auction results for the court to approve. There is nothing for the losing bidders to object to if an auction wasn't completed. I believe Kodak has an agreement to be bought out(hopefully by Samsung). The layoffs, Korean attorney, and antitrust attorney have everything aligned for a buyout. I don't know when we get the announcement of the buyout, but sphopefully this week. good luck

I think we are realistically looking at about 8/share. A 6bil deal would pay the debts and give us about 8.

Only 6 Billion for the whole enchilada?
If you assume the 1100 patents are worth 2.6 B, the rest of the company, including 10,000 other patents is only worth 3.3 B?
I'm not an expert, but does anyone else have an calculated answer to a buyout and the resultant share price?

The only thing that makes a buyout make sense... IF Gropper's schedule hasn't changed, why wouldn't Kodak announce at the closing bell? Instead they're shooting for the prime time of 11:00? ? If Pro is right they have to announce today... Hopefully Kim-Hoo Seong and AP are smoking some cigars in Kodak tower tonight.... I still believe the release of his name may end up being the greatest, most overlooked tell in this amazing saga!

Kid,
Much stranger things have happened. I am cynical but I don't think you need to be high on fairy dust to recognize the possibility.

Pro has acknowledged many times the value present in Kodak...
Asian businesses are patient and know a deal when they see it...
Kodak BOD is sick of their long road down and probably not looking forward to the road back...
They are short-sighted like most Americans (including us!)
If the BOD gets bought for $6 a share they get they want, and so do the buyers, who like PRO, are a little more PATIENT!

""If Pro is right they have to announce today..""
'and if they don't announce by today then that doesn't necessarily rule out another extension. Kodak certainly waited until the almost-last-moment for extending in August.
'and in my own opinion, it doesn't rule out that a sale of some kind hasn't been made either.

Well to be frank, Kodak has not stopped losing money very fast, and the future business of Kodak does not look to have the immediate success it needs to survive another couple of years unless things drastically change. If I were on the board I would be pushing for a buyout to get out of the situation that got us here.

Yes,
Kodak is probably to them the lottery ticket is to us.
There is a lot of good there, but is hidden, and will take time and money to bring to fruition.
Kodak has neither, unless they get an epic patent sale.
Rather than just taking the gold eggs, maybe Samsung wants the goose too so it can nurse it back to health and pick up the rest of the eggs the goose is sitting on?
