Being a shareholder I'm really disappointed in a lack of anything being conveyed to me at all, by way of news. It was brought up once before about "releasing news without releasing news". Im starting to feel, a company that has no loyalty to keep me informed, also may have no loyalty when it comes to canceling my stake. I don't mind taking a risk but I'm having a hard time with being played for a fool.

I am not feeling good about the lack of news too.
I don't know why they love to keep us in the dark.
It would lend so much credibility if they had an aggressive PR team.

PCR,
I'm afraid that you have unrealistic expectations of EK. It's a company in Chp 11, and currently under court order of silence!
Bear in mind that GGP, an oft referenced Chp 11 jackpot case, took > 1.5 years to emerge. EK's timeframe is shorter.
I want management to focus 110% on the IP sale, reorganizational activities, and growing sales. Do a good job, and the stock will be just fine.

Well in Bankruptcy us shareholders are pretty far down the totem pole. Hopefully, Pro is right and that the BOD(behind the scenes) are looking out for themselves by NOT cancelling common.

"It would lend so much credibility if they had an aggressive PR team."
1. PR office has probably been hard hit by the axe.
2. PR folks don't generate one cent of revenues. It's a cost center.
3. EK and shareholders don't need PR at this time as RESULTS.
I say to EK management: keep nose to the grindstone and charge ahead.

Thanks guys. I was really looking for a vent and pick me up. I certainly didn't want to bring anybody down. Just looking for shoulders to lean on. When you're right about something like EK , as I think we are, you get anxious to hear it and progress towards it.

Matt, the BOD will do whatever they can to save common if the numbers are there. Its all about assets, liabilities, and EBITA thats it. This is a very simple game. most companies will emerge based on a 5 times ebitda. Shareholders will cry for a higher valuation and they wont get it.....as they never do.

"I disagree, takes one guy to issue press releases, etc... Hell I could do the job."
THINK.
It's really not so simple as banging out a memo by a lowly clerk. There are compliance issues and corporate strategic issues involved, and a lot of vetting by the legal department, senior officers, etc. and who are ALL already fully engaged in more important stuff---the company's survival!
I deal with GM's IR department by email---they don't take live calls. Even when I submit what I feel is a simple question, it can take days for them to respond. I don't think it's sloppiness but, rather, the staffer needs to vett the written response up his/her chain of command for accuracy, etc.
In other words, it's not so simple as you think---especially for a company in distress and operating under court order of silence (IP auction).

We need a volunteer to masquerade or apply for janitorial position at EK HQ.
Plant a bug in the board room and men's rooms....
