"The International Symposium for Technologies on Digital Photo Fulfillment will take place Jan. 6-7, 2013 in Las Vegas, NV as part of DIMA 2013 at Bally’s. " “As technologies change, the only truly guaranteed method of preserving your photos today and actually being able to look at them in the future is through the printed image,” said Christopher Van Zandt, General Manager, Paper and Output Systems and Vice President, Americas Region for Eastman Kodak. “While a digital file allows immediate and broad sharing, that file depends on particular technologies that may become obsolete. If a photograph is printed, and in particular, printed on silver halide paper, the consumer knows that image will last for generations, and in dark storage should last in excess of 200 years. No other method of preserving images can offer that same peace of mind.” www.kodak.com/ek/US/en/News_Media/News_Releases/Kodak_at_DIMA_2013.htm?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=feed&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+KodakNewsReleases+(Kodak+News+Releases)

Barclays might have to do with the UK pensions too; maybe Kodak wants to borrow money from Barclays and do a lump some payout to reduce or eliminate some or all of its pension obligations with current borrowing rates at historical lows.

Wondering if Kodak might borrow the money from Barclays to pay off the unsecured debt... Then the terms and amount would dictate the on going expense...

The UK pension had a deal, I forget where I got this info, but it is committed to memory. With the UK pension they had a payment plan to fund it. 2011 to 2014 they had to make a $50 million per year payment. 2015 to 20120 they had to make a $90 million per year payment. As we all know, that deal is not happening, so therefore we are in negotiations with UK now to settle this, for what I would imagine is less payments than that. That is the thing no one seems to remember about pensions, retirees benefits. ALL those benefits are NOT used all at once, so therefore, you don't have to pay in all the money ALL at once! SBG With both the US and UK pensions judge will have to be ok with POR that Kodak can fund these on going debts...

I dont know guys. I have been thinking about that Pension issue allot lately. First of all, they will be recalculating it with the 25 years average of interest rates I think. 2nd, if you look at the OPEB settlement of almost 50%, 2.8 billion becomes 1.4 billion. Lets say they cut it 40%, then they get to cut 1.12 billion from that liability. I think they are working hard to minimize that liability, as it is one of the few real moves they have to cut that asset to liability deficit. SBG OPEB was $1.2 billion now $635 Million unsecured debt-- US pensions will be fully funded with new law but the judge is going to require Kodak can fund it into the future -- UK pension ?? not sure

"The first of the Fotobars will open in February in Delray Beach, Fla. Other stores are planned for New York, Las Vegas and Boston. Polaroid has yet to release a full list, and there is no indication yet whether there will be one in the Twin Cities. Here's how Polaroid says the transfers will occur: Customers transmit photos from their camera phones wirelessly to a bar-top workstation for immediate ordering. Photos can also be uploaded from Facebook, Instagram and other social media sites. The images can then be can be enhanced and adjusted for contrast, red-eye correction, brightness, etc " www.startribune.com/local/185573742.html

Could Kodak be buying Kodak shares at these low prices? If they bought 10 million shares @ less than a buck a share and we went back to $20 a share-- they would have lots of gains to offset their losses from their prior buyback's...

"Shutterfly is focused on growing its business through strategic partnerships with retailers and acquisitions. Over the last one-year period, Shutterfly entered into a pact with FujiFilm to bring its photo creating and sharing website under its own platform as well as acquired an Israel-based photo software firm and a mobile application company Penguin Digital"
FujiFilm perhaps buying some Kodak assets this year yet?

AP was buying this stock in the ~June of 2011 around $3 price -- He said in the fall of 2011 no BK -- BK was declared at midnight in 2012 -- Unless he gave inside info many are/were caught out of position -- I honestly think he is delusional. I don't think in his mind he said anything wrong. I agree with you that he definitely mislead people. Either on purpose or he didn't know what he was doing. Both are plausible. Do you want to know a sure fire method to tell if he is lying? His mouth is moving... It is not about AP-- My point is that Mr Hurst and others own shares as does AP for that matter; I will hold my shares hoping things work out... Good luck...

Some employees made the fatal mistake of believeing in Perez. Those that lived and worked throught he BS and lies deserve to keep their common. Period. Gropper should do the right thing. Liabilities will be manageable upon emergence but who knows if kodak will ever meet a projection? Let's face it. Any retiree that actually bought the stock and still owns it basically has lost everything. They would have had bought it at dollars or tens of dollars per share. How many would still hold it? Very, very few. The retirees are not holding any significant portion of this. I don't care if somebody wrote to the judge or not. He is in the extreme minority. Absolutely no financial planner (except for maybe Mr.) would ever recommend a pink sheet stock to a retiree (or anybody for that matter). AP was buying this stock in the ~June of 2011 around $3 price -- He said in the fall of 2011 no BK -- BK was declared at midnight in 2012 -- Unless he gave inside info many are/were caught out of position --

Baby, I'm buying your theory. Otherwise, there's no logical explanation on pocket change deal we got for $525MM. If $400MM recurring revenue per year is true, this was not a bad deal. You guys are a bunch of fools. Enough talking. Anyone among you dare to wager with me for say a mere $5000 or $10,000? Rule is simple, if Kodak is getting $400 mil annual recurring revenue from the agreement stated in doc 2612, you win. If not then I win and I take your money. Put up or shut up. Hey fox, how goes? That rabbit is more or less gone I think mostly the mum it was chilling behind is gone with the snow and all. So what are you buying? I will make a call that AKAM hits 60 next year... Got any good predictions Mr. Fox and not on Kodak? Thanks
