kfn (kkr)... but my personal favorite is arcp
Real estate is not going down anytime soon, and I for one am willing to wait 5 years for a double while collecting 7% interest (paid out monthly)

kfn (kkr)... but my personal favorite is arcp Real estate is not going down anytime soon, and I for one am willing to wait 5 years for a double while collecting 7% interest (paid out monthly) I believe you're correct in your assessment that real estate will continue to appreciate in the foreseeable future. What I see on a quick analysis with ACRP isn't very pleasing to my eye right now though. CEO is retiring. He will remain on for a while as vice chairman of the BOD. During his tenure the stock returned an average of 15% annually. I would need to wait for a while to see if the new CEO is worth his salt. Another item that bothers me about ARCP is that since May 2103 the SP has fallen slightly over 30%. Was that caused by CEO change announcement, or announcement that CapLease merger was approved? Don't know, but I do know that ARCP has been downgraded from buy to neutral. Who knows though, if you wait 5 years, ARCP could triple or even better. Right now isn't the right time for any entry, IMO. Take a look at NMM & FLY. Your, or anyone's thoughts?

I dont know anything about spanish banks, or dry cargo companies.... but I do know a little something about real estate.
As far as ARCP is getting crushed the last few months it is because of the rise in the 10 year bond.
The dividend yield is safe in ARCP
Full disclosure, I have no position in ARCP, but I intend to open one in the next 4-6 months.
I am too far invested in kodak for now.

Another good real estate stock, KIM,,, but they yield is only 4.1%
But I believe the the dividend for both stocs will be going up soon.
The thing I love about ARCP is that it has a monthly dividend, and they just raised the dividend (yearly) from .91-.94
Plus they will start a share buyback soon

+1 KKR with it's great yield and SP growth potential if the recovery moves forward and their investments from the past 5 years pay off.
+1 SAN also sporting a generous yield, they've been doing stock dividends as well, and I think many large international banks are currently undervalued (i.e. ING).
I also like CLCT in the low $14's with its 8+% yield.
AEO is another I am watching... decent yield... solid fundamentals... and undervalued.
JE has a double digit yield, but is more speculative than the others I've mentioned.
I also like BP with it's 5+% yield and think it has tons of potential long term once their legal issues are resolved.
Glad to see this board still alive and people sharing investment ideas!
Disclosure: I own KKR, SAN, & BP. I'm looking to enter AEO around $14.50.
