Iff a deal would have been reached then volume would be much higher.
If a deal would have been reached there would have been more price action either way.
if a deal would have been reached they woul not ave needed all the exta days bur rather a few days.
judge knows it is complex and active so he is giving lazard and kodak the ample tie needed.
antitrust guy is working his agic to the max as we speak.
we will know soon..just watch volume..leaks always precede news.....EVERYTIME.
LOOK FOR A GIGANTIC NEWS RELEASE THAT WILL BE THE LONGS RAINBOW.....VERY SOON!!

Joe,
When do you start to get worried? You have no clue if Kodak is even going to sell the patents. The pps indicator/bond prices certainly lean towards no deal in sight. Other than you think a deal will happen what facts do YOU have that one is gonna happen?

Why is No news bad news? The average investor takes the idea of silence as a sign of gloom and doom. Would you rather have some blow hard, not unlike the current potus, stand in front of us on a daily basis and bloviate about how rosey the negotiations are, how easy and uncomplicated life is?
Perhaps the silence in this case is "golden". I would much rather have no news than speculative bullshit from a bunch of talking heads.
A watched pot never boils......

tmarf, But at what point do you acknowledge that things are going as according to plan/ At what pojnt do you acknowledge the reasons behind it? I mean at what point do you ignore the pps and bond price? I am just asking because there has been a whole lot of negative news and NONE positive. Do we ignore all the negative? I mean if the patents were the holy grail would we not have an answer by now? ??

Matt,
You need to wait until we have an announcement next Wednesday.
All this what if what if what if does no one any good.

Matt,
We can speculate until the cows come home. Fact is we DON'T know anything more than the WSJ mullet wrapper or any of the other "in our opinion" reporters. This whole process is under an order of silence. In most cases I would imagine you would have leaks. Just relying solely on the fact that you have Lazard running the show, and it is out of the hands of AP and the BOD for the most part, leads me to believe it is NOT smoke and mirrors. You have a world renowned firm running this show. Of course they are being handsomely rewarded but they also have a reputation to protect. So the answer to your question is this: I would disregard any unofficial news, negative or positive until it comes straight from the horses mouth. Sit tight, don't over think it. The upside is tremendous, the down side is nominal.
Good Luck!

SBG,
You are making a big assumption. The last two times we were supposed to get an announcement what did we get? If we were really close to a deal right now the volume and the pps would pick up. I am having a tough time convincing myself that nobody has a clue whats going on. Even if a deal WAS NOT close BUT Kodak had several lucrative offers/options on the table the pps would be moving. Something stinks here. I am preparing myself for more of the same-D-E-L-A-Y. I only hope Kodak puts out a presser explaing that the delay is a good thing and that options are fruitful.

You do what you need to do to feel better.
I am going to assume that next week we get good news.
To speculate anymore is silly.
Kodak KNOWS they need to get a deal done.
Think from their perspective, they and Lazard know that time is of the essence.
