Too bad it's not the NY Governor appearing with them, not Bloomberg.
Then I'd say the chances would be better for a buyout announcement.

SAN FRANCISCO (MarketWatch) - Google Inc. /quotes/zigman/93888/quotes/nls/goog GOOG -0.77% is hosting a press conference in New York City at 10: 30 ET a.m. on Tuesday, according to a media report. Mayor Michael Bloomberg is expected to attend, according to Business Insider, noting that it is not clear what the press conference is about. The website also pointed to speculation that the event is related to a Google plan for a form of enhanced Internet access in New York City. Shares of Google were last trading down a fraction to $730.45.
