News out tonight on Apple versus Samsung. This was as I expected based on the court transcripts. The fine may be reduced as well in upcoming orders from Judge Koh. How this will impact Kodak remains to be seen. Samsung can continue to sell its products in the US. Kodak IP could become more important to Apple and Samsung. news.msn.com/science-technology/judge-denies-apples-request-to-ban-samsung-phones"A federal judge has denied a legal request by Apple Inc. to ban U.S. sales of Samsung smartphone models that a jury in August said illegally used Apple technology. The decision is part of a series of rulings that U.S. Judge Lucy Koh said she is releasing over a period of several weeks to address the many legal issues raised in the case."

More information on the ruling by Judge Koh. www.forbes.com/sites/timworstall/2012/12/18/links-18-dec-apple-and-samsung-both-win-and-lose-in-patent-case/?partner=yahootix“A permanent sales ban on a number of Samsung devices isn’t happening, says Judge Lucy Koh, shooting down an injunction request filed by Apple. In a filing denying the motion, Koh admits that Samsung may have cut into Apple’s customer base, but says “there is no suggestion that Samsung will wipe out Apple’s customer base or force Apple out of the business of making smartphones. The present case involves lost sales — not a lost ability to be a viable market participant.” The heat just got turned up on Apple by Samsung. Will Apple's pps wither today?

Nice Kott.
Looks like someone will need to pick up some more weapons, as the ones they have aren't strong enough.
And guess who has weapons that surround one of the main functions of smart phones and tablets?
That's right, Kodak!
