A federal jury found Apple Inc.'s ( AAPL ) iPhone directly infringed three patents from MobileMedia Ideas LLC, a holding company owned by Sony, Nokia and MPEG LA.
Damages haven't been determined.
A jury in a Delaware federal court found Apple infringed on U.S. patents 6,070,068; 6,253,075 and 6,427,078.
MobileMedia, which filed the complaint in 2010, holds patents related to a wide array of features such as call handling, speed dial functions, database searches and audio download.
The '068 patent relates to a method for controlling a connecting state of a call. The '075 patent covers a method and apparatus for rejecting incoming calls for use in a mobile device. The '078 patent relates to a device for personal communication, data collection and data processing that also includes a camera unit.
Representatives from Apple and MobileMedia weren't immediately available for comment.
