Well its the day before the patent sale announcement.
How does everyone feel about it?
I truly have no idea if we will get good news or not.
There has NOT been any information given to lead me to believe one way or the other.

9/11 for AMERICANS will always be a day that lives in INFAMY....
SBG, How OBSESSED are you that you have classified 9/11/12 as the "day before the patent sale"
You should consider spending some of your profits on a good therapist.....

I was aware that the date today was the same as the day that tragedy happened, but was keeping the topic on point.

They can if they're afraid and impatient.
I'm neither. Money truly means nothing to me. That's what makes a great trader. The best have won and lost millions because its just "the action".
I will still be a millionaire when I die, and I have few needs except a good meal, a nice car, and good conversation.
Just calm your mind and chant, "There is no downside here!!!"
If you're scared, put in a stop-loss order.
If you don't know how to do that, stop trading stocks.

Don't you realize that news of any kind will send the stock up?
AP could have a heart attack and we'd back at 30 cents.
This is a news driven stock, and when the channels are jammed with superficially negative news, people respond because most are simple and superficial.
Like sheep to the slaughter they will abandon a great opportunity.
It has happened a million times and it will happen a million more.
I inherited a great deal of 3M stock.
I remember during the financial crisis it went from $90 to $40.
3M was still the same rock-solid company, A++++, 50th biggest American company.
It was just flawed perception.
Just like today with my myopic "friends".

Mike,
Positive news is key. Now can we have some? Price should be rising during an auction, no? At what point do you go from being myopic to logical?

One thing-
Would a BID price ever go down, even in this scenario?
Do you think Lazard would let a bid be retracted?
That's not how it works in any auction.

Tmarf,
For 4-5 days this was a semiregular auction. Then it all turned into diaharia. Now it is a garage sale where Kodak bakes cookies and lemonade to entice passerbys. However, perhaps this garage sale just got listed on craigslist catching the eye of a few pissed off Koreans.

Your trying to convince people the stock is worthless therefore you are trying to force your uninformed opinion.

Kid,
If the auction was a bust why did it last so long?
What were they doing?
I agree it could be a licensing deal combined with sale and or buyout, the options are many.
However, the patents have a defined value as far as how much royalties they spin off and how valuable they are as nukes.
This is relatively fixed.
Therefore, it is only a simple extrapolation of reality to understand that AT LEAST 1 B was collected in the auction, and probably MUCH MUCH more.
Just think of all the people Kodak is paying, retaining, needing...
Our S. Korean friend is a good example...
Why would you hire all these PROS if you had no proceeds and a bust on your hands.
Would you be dealing with people in the ANTI-TRUST world?
Or the MERGERS AND AQUISITIONS world?
I don't believe I am gambling, and if I am, I am playing CRAPS because it is a ZERO SUM GAME
Perhaps you could have used a better metaphor KID,
like PENNY SLOTS on MAX BET!!!!!

Well, Maybe you could be a little more EXPLICIT then,
I know as well as anyone that the common may not survive long term.
However, as a short to middle play, (and possibly long if things change)
EKDKQ cannot be beat.
I admire Pro's veracity but admit that another stock would be a better play after we are DRIVEN UP by a NEWS REPORT about the auction...
I will continue to hold a stake in EKDKQ to support them and for old-time's sake.
However, I will be moving out because most of the immediate upside will be gone...
UNLIKE NOW

UNLIKE NOW Ok Mike, so you are just trying to trade kodak. Thats a different story. Most people here are expecting a long term future. Sure, you might be able to trade Kodak and get a bounce. Im not interested in debating that....... The long term future of kodak is the discussion on this board
