ny : Depressed ! After reading the article twice, it made me question whether Samsung benefits from linking with KODAK as much as I thought .

Sorry Marriott. That was far from my aim. But that article was merely one individual's take on where Samsung stands or where it aims to be. 'and remember, owning some or all of Kodak's assets isn't merely about having a weapon...Could just as well be about owning them as a deterrent? BTW, if it helps any...not that I always agreed with him, BUT: kodak.boards.net/index.cgi?action=viewprofile&user=proforkodakDo a search through Pro's posts so's at least 100 of his most recent posts show up. Then within that search for whatever you wish: "Samsung" "Kiosks" "Patents" "Xerox" Whatever... Get the picture?

" Get the picture? "
ny:
Not interested in reviewing pro's previous posts ......but I hope Samsung gets the picture .
I am not in the " buyout " camp but as a KODAK shareholder I would welcome such a development !

Why are you not in the buyout camp Marriott?
Potential Purchaser not enough for you?
The years of silence and people throwing money at Kodak?
No sales?
I want to know...

I am not in the " buyout " camp but as a KODAK shareholder I would welcome such a development ! I hear ya. The idea only occurred to me this evening. But it seemed like the best idea when feeling in a rut about Kodak and all. You know, seeking out new/old ways to view what may be in Kodak's future? As for the buyout notion? Haven't mentally ventured in that direction myself but am willing to listen to the others' rants about such a scenario. GLTA

" Why are you not in the buyout camp Marriott? "
mike:
Essentially two reasons:
None of the potential buyers have expressed any interest in acquiring KODAK in the public arena.
My contention that KODAK must be a profitable enterprise with a clearly defined vision BEFORE a serious suitor will come a calling.
However, I do believe that KODAK would be a great fit for either Samsung or Apple. It is a question of timing .

I happened to be driving down the freeway tonight and saw Sammy's big blue letters so I thought I would investigate after I reviewed the link that was posted the other day on the board that Kodak is leasing space near Del Mar. Interesting to see that Samsung has two offices in California. A=Kodak's newly leased space in San Diego and B= Samsung's existing Southern California office in San Diego. I am intrigued by coincidences like this....... I hope the copy and paste worked. maps.google.com/maps?saddr=Avenue+of+Science,+San+Diego,+CA&daddr=4921+Directors+Pl+%23150,+San+Diego,+CA+92121&geocode=%3BCc90RbGk_FF-Fajs9QEd34ID-SmtHXK2GQfcgDGzNPv4h1JdaQ&sll=32.894002,-117.210388&sspn=0.235524,0.308647
