I am convinced that the letter to employees this AM and the press release was designed to take some heat off of the fact that on the 12th another delay of the IP sale will be announced. I have read and re-read the letters to the employees and there is nothing mentioned about the patent portfolio sale(s). This could mean one of two things 1. They are already sold or 2. They are keeping them for the time being.
Does anyone find it the least bit curious as to why the IP portfolio was not mentioned in the PR? The employees email?

You can talk about it without talking about it. For example, we are looking forward to selling our patent portfolio(s) and the multiple divisions that we hope to finalize sometime in 2013. This tells the reader that they WILL sell them but no to WHO and not for how MUCH.

If you are Kodak and you are this close to making things happen...why risk it with a silly pr to employees? They will have their answer shortly. As will we. Then all the fun and games of he said/she said can start....or finish.

You are so short sighted Kid.
They just announced plans today to save 330 Million per year!
Just shy of 30 Million per mpnth!
They are selling 3 divisions and Patents.
Why is it that you have to keep saying the same thing over and over and over and over and over and ove and over and over and over and overr and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over again?
Why can't you let events take place and happen?
Its like you really are a "Kid"
I have NEVER seen anything like it.

Swift do you honestly believe Kodak will be announcing a sale on Wed? I really have no clue. All I know is that we are going to hear things when they are ready to happen. As long as it turns out well I can wait. No rush here. Buying in where I bought in there will be some nice profits when the news is released if it is positive. Time will tell though. Also...back to the 'I have no clue' comment I made. Nobody has a clue. All educated guesses. Some more educated than others. Looking forward to the outcome of this poker game though. Waiting for that river card to drop.

Swift, I like your stlye. I guess if you are fairly confident and can wait it out, another delay/setback will allow you to pick up some more shares in the teens or lower. I hope this saga ends Wed.

Matt,
I would love it to end Wednesday also. Never fun waiting this stuff out. The delays though are hopefully just due to Kodak and Lazard squeezing every last dime out of those patents. We will know soon enough.

The Bond Kid states:
"Even the bonds are dopping today.....Got Glue?"
My guess is that bond trading is between retail folks, and who are just as skittish/in the dark as the retail equity holder folks. Volume is simply too light.
Most of the bond float is locked up in institutional holder's hands, and they're standing pat.
IMHO, bond prices are as useless as equity prices as indicator of EK's future.

This is a great example of highly counter-productive, fruitless mumbo jumbo from folks who have no business investing, much less in a distressed security. It reveals a personality with very little insight/understanding of his investment and, hence, is prone to bouts of self-doubt.
Besides abiding by the court's order for confidentiality, management should be focused on executing the reorganization. Period.
Shareholders should be focused on understanding EK's financials, and changes in operating results/cost reduction, and NOT on reading tea leaves.
It's a sure sign that, when one needs someone else's handholding, it's time to exit one's holding.

You misunderstand.
The institutional bond market is highly sophisticated, usually very accurate.
I'm saying that trading in EK's bond is mostly among retail investors, and who are not in same league as the institutions. Check the volumes, too light---12 trades totalling 800 bonds of 11/2013 unsecureds today.
And, retail investors, whether bond or equity, are largely operating in the dark and highly skittish.
And, don't take this the wrong way---you're an example of skittish bond investor operating in the dark. Many, many posts, but nothing of substance or analytical value. Too emotional.

The guy sits here ALL day and just says the same thing like a parrot, its insane!
There are 7 higly significant events that will turn things around:
1) Sale Of Patents 2) Sale of Film Division 3) Sale of Kiosk Division 4) Sale of Scanner Division 5) Cutting more Jobs 6) Cutting more infrastructure 7) Selling Land and properties 8) Something I am not thinking of I am sure.

No!
Another example of inefficient markets where retail investors are concerned.
How'd you ever draw that conclusion in light of my assertion that retail investors (bond and equity) are mostly clueless and skittish?
I'm saying that the unsecured bonds as well as equity prices are meaningless as future indicators.
My belief is that both are underpriced.
