We all know EK will exist in the future but as a common shareholder I am not 100% positive that the common will survive. The only person that I know who is 100% positive is Pro. What is everyone else's feelings on the common being made whole again?

Busted. I am concerned by the lack of sale yet and the seemingly dissapointing auction. I do feel like Kodak will piece together something that will allow us to make money. Making money and emerging from chap 11 in tact is 2 different things. Everything IMO depends on the sales of IP and to a lesser extent the sales of the businesses. Give me a 3 billion patent sale and we are almost guaranteed of survival. However the pps and the perception of EKDQ is so poor anyhting over a billion likely gives us a decent boost. 2 billion would give us a sizeable jump. 3 billion and we would have ample time to weigh our options and wait for the businesses to sell or not.

I believe the common will survive, but AP needs to offer assurances that it it will be so, except for if something major bad happens. I hope he will make this announcement when the patent result is announced, to help bolster the stock price.
Pro, why do you think such an assurance has not been made as of yet?

Kodak did NOT want an Equity committee messing with their plans.
Kodak management wanted to get cheap shares for themselves.
Kodak will PROVIDE ALL the info YOU desire in the POR by Oct. 15th.

Once we get the auction results we will know if common has any chance of survival. There cannot be any POR that would "include" common until assets are sold(unless the auction process yields atleast 1.5 billion). otherwise common is wall paper Ill be back when the auction results are released

kodak.boards.net/index.cgi?board=general&action=display&thread=54For all the Patent pussies, EVEN a $1 billion patent sale will leave Kodak with appx. $3/share in CASH, NO long term liabilities, and over $2.2 billion of business with LEADING market share and the BEST technology in the world. I think that Kodak has CUT a deal a very private deal with Fuji!!!! Kodak sells Fuji the still picture film business, the profitable photo finishing business, and the Kiosk business. Fuji agrees to exit the motion picture film business. Fuji ends up with a DEFACTO monopoly in still film, traditional photo finishing, and 70% of the kiosk business, and use of the Kodak name for these business if it wants. Kodak gets the CASH it needs to pay off ALL its liabilities, plus more for other ventures. Kodak gets a monopoly in motion picture film, and the archiving of film. If ONLY Kid had a BRAIN!!! I CONSTANTLY post the FACTS with NUMBERS and ANALYSIS supporting my CONCLUSIONS. The LYING POS Kid posts NOTHING but EXCREMENT he pulls directly from his ANAL CAVITY... And it STINKS!

That would be nice if Fuji did buy those businesses, but we really can't say that for sure Pro.
It is a natural fit though, I do give you that.

Also, wouldn't Fuji buying the film division be considered a Monopoly?
How would that every get approved?

consumer/professional still film is NOT how people take photographs anymore. The test of a MONOPOLY is whether there are ALTERNATIVE ways means of producing the same result. CAPTURING photographs is done with digital cameras. Ilford produces film: www.ilfordphoto.com/home.aspOthers produce paper and chemicals. ONLY Kodak would have a MONOPOLY for the production of MOTION PICTURE film. Kodak would a LEGAL monopoly since NOBODY else wants to compete with them.
